This is definitely not the best of times for the Bisi Onasanya-led First
Bank as panic stricken customers now avoid the once bank of choice like a
plague following the bomb blast that killed 20 customers and injured over 100
at the Azare, Bauchi State branch of the financial institution in the morning
of Friday, November 7.
The female suicide bomber, who carried out the deadly act, was said to have
concealed the Improvised Explosive Device (IED), in her hijab. She later joined
the embattled bank’s customers on a queue to make withdrawals from one of the
ATMs before detonating the bomb.
