Celebrities comprising Nigerian
entertainment icons, on-air-personalities, DJs and media giants were on hand to
cheer MTN’s new brand ambassadors at their unveiling and premiere of new songs
and videos that held, in Victoria Island, last week.
SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered that amid the
fun and music, Timaya and Sean Tizzle joined the likes of Banky W., Dr. Sid,
Harrysong and Sound Sultan as the ICT company’s latest ambassadors.
Kenny ‘Keke’ Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye,
Ayo Animashaun, Tajudeen Adepetu, ID Ogungbe, DJ Jimmy Jatt, TY Mix, Olisa
Adibua, Vector, Oritse Femi, Mafikizolo and Ghanaian diva, ‘Becca’, top the
list of Nigerian, South African and Ghanaian celebrities present at the event.
While DJ Neptune and DJ Exclusive spiced up the night with great display. The
excitement generated by the premiered songs and videos was one that would not
be forgotten in a long time.
Praiz premiered his new hit,
‘Mercy’, to a wide applause. Chidinma’s video, ‘O Baby’, a collaborative work
the Project Fame winner did with highlife maestro, Flavour, also received
adulations.
Also, the duo of Theo Kgosinkwe and
Nhlanhla Nciza, popularly called Mafikizolo, gave their fans a taste of their
collaboration with Davido when they performed the song ‘Tchelete’, meaning
‘Goodlife’. The duo who enthused that the song was ‘the best work’ they ever
did with any artiste were obviously elated to be in the country.
Among those who made the unveiling
and premiere memorable were Timaya, Solid Star, Oritse Femi, Becca and Kcee.
The artistes, especially, Timaya, who made a reference to Becca’s ‘Ukwu’
delighted everyone in attendance with great renditions.
