Concerned Nigerian writes INEC Boss, says: "Jega's INEC is endangering 2015"

INEC Boss, Prof. Jega
"… Nothing can stop the PDP from
winning the 2015 elections…”
Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
(The Nation on Sunday of February 2, 2014)

         " Those ten words carelessly mouthed by former Bauchi State Governor and new Chairman of the PDP represents a ticking time-bomb. However, only a few very perceptive Nigerians know it. The rest have (ignorantly) taken it all at face value. Indeed, political ignorance is one of our problems in this country. Forget about other types of ignorance, for now."

          Chieftains of “Africa’s largest Party” are not exactly noted for making responsible, cautious, edifying and patriotic statements. Rather, they prefer to put forth arrogant, fascistic, bizarre and even insulting speeches. In 2004, did PDP National Secretary, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor not boast that the Peoples’ Democratic Party will rule this ‘hell-on-earth’ for sixty years, whether we like it or not? (DAILY CHAMPION, Sept. 20, 2004).
          So, where is Ogbulafor today? The man is in political ‘Siberia.’ In simpler language, he is in political wilderness. If he doubts it, let him just open his mouth too wide any day. Jonathan and his Attorney-General would simply arraign him in Court, all over again. A few say the charges against the Prince are trumped up. Well, who knows? It all serves him right, anyway. People have refused to understand that without Christ, everything is “vanity upon vanity”.

* Decoding Adamu Mu’azu
          The new National Chairman of the PDP has gone and made another irresponsible and unpatriotic statement capable of upsetting the shaky ‘national applecart’. I reckon these PDP so-called Chieftains are not sufficiently intelligent to realize that at their level, what they say in public (and even privately) could do or undo things. Fortunately, this time around, nobody would dare blame “Ojukwu and the Ibos”. I think “Jonathan and the Ijaws” would be more like it, or don’t you think so? Send me a brief SMS (08052400349).
          Let me briefly ‘decode’ Adamu Mu’azu’s speech – for the benefit of many who are not Political Historians. According to the Holy Bible, “…out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh…” Indeed, the PDP Chairman meant every single word of his fascistic and security-threatening boast. Will anybody arrest him? Of course not! The PDP is, for now, virtually in control of everything. This is why they act with impunity. May God help us, in Jesus Name!

DECODING MU’AZU’S POLITICAL CODE
*        The INEC Chairman, National Commissioners and most of the State Resident Commissioners are in the pockets of my great Party. In fact, when President Jonathan sneezes, they are all constrained to jump about three feet. Naturally, they cannot act as authentic umpires. Definitely not! When it comes to the crunch, they have to lean towards a PDP victory! We even told Jega how to present the 2015 time-table. Of course, he obeyed. His talk of ‘international best practices’ is so much baloney. We want the Presidential polls to hold before any other one. That is the way it will be, chikena!

*       The Police and State Security Service are authorized by Law to “secure” our elections. Ideally, they are supposed to be impartial and apolitical. However, have you forgotten that the PDP President appointed both of them? Whom do you think they will obey? Is this not Africa?

*        Constitutionally, the use of the military for election duties is wrong but then my Party believes that the end justifies the means. In ‘Opposition’ strongholds, we plan to flood everywhere with fierce-looking soldiers – to enhance voter apathy. In fact in 2015, we might arrest and detain, on false charges, top Opposition members. Was that not what Sir Ahmadu Bello did to the Action Group at Kano in 1959? Did the heavens fall?.

*        Mr. President absolutely has no plans for a referendum after the National Confab. He does not want a new Constitution but an ‘amendment’ of the old one, by infusing some recommendations of the Confab.
*        Do you now see that nothing can stop my great Party the PDP, from winning in 2015? We are ready if necessary, to pull down the roof on everybody…
- END OF DECODING -

*        *        *
* INEC’s dangerous hanky panky
          Nigeria’s electoral umpires are nothing to write home about. At the Federal level, they are in the pocket of Mr. President and his Party. In the States, the ‘State Independent Electoral Commissions’ are at the beck and call of State Governors. This is why in spite of the dozens of ‘Political Parties in our country,’ any ruling Party in the States (I mean States that even bother to conduct Local Government polls) “win” more than 98% of Chairmanship and Councillorship seats. What type of stupid democracy is that?
          Now, why must anybody deign to prematurely fix dates for the National Assembly, State Assembly and Governorship polls? Are the Confab delegates being pre-empted? Supposing they heed the clamour of millions of Nigerians and agree that we can make do with just six Regional or Executive Governors and 36 State Administrators (of Deputy Governor States)? Of course, this would imply drastic changes e.g. six Regional Assemblies (in the place of the present 36 State Assemblies), etc.
          Have Nigerians not also been clamouring for a more compact, unicameral National Assembly? We stand to gain at least N2.2 trillion yearly from flushing out many of the political parasites in our System.  All things being equal, the National CONFAB should be over by June, 2014. We could take one month for a democratic referendum. This is not negotiable, Mr. President! From 1st August, Nigerians (not the politicians but Civil Society members) could embark on the packaging of a truly independent, democratic, just and impartial electoral umpire-to encompass the Federal, Regional, State and Local Government Administrations in Nigeria. I have already provided the modus operandi in my book but I intend to do that, all over again, in my e-mail of March, 2014.
          To help us ‘buy’ more time, the Handover date should be shifted to 1st October, 2015. Let the NASS quickly do the needful. There is nothing sacrosanct about May 29, or do you think there is? Those additional four months should help us step further away from the edge of the deep and craggy precipice. Don’t you appreciate my efforts to engender peace in my country? I mean the Peace of Christ! You see, my MASTER is the Prince of Peace. Moreover, apart from having fought in ‘Biafra’ as a mere boy, I have also read all about many wars in modern History. Several of them (e.g. the First World War) were caused by things one would easily consider as being insignificant. However, do not forget that the devil is responsible for wars and bloodshed, using his numerous agents – the politicians. Have they not started again?
          Sadly, unfortunately but understandably, the so-called National Council of State fellows met some days ago and ‘endorsed’ the 2015 Election Schedule. They did not even consider the forthcoming CONFAB and its outcome. Very tragic, if you ask me! Those fellows know the right things to do but vested interests will not allow them make their country better. The ex-Heads of State want to install as many Governors as they can. The Governors who will clock eight years in 2015 want somebody who will cover their backs. Those who are in their first tenure do not want to hear about ‘Regions,’ etc. Do they think Nigeria belongs to them? Members of Organised Civil Society are alerted to await my March, 2014 e-mail. I am talking to the NBA, NLC, NMA, NUT, ASUU, NCWS, NUJ, NULGE, NUPENG, PENGASSAN, NIGERIANS IN DIASPORA ORGANISATION (NIDO), NANS, ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS, etc! This is not the time to feign indifference. We are now into ‘injury time’.

*        PDP is afraid of a level field.
          Some people apparently misunderstood my January 2014 write-up. For your information, I have absolutely nothing against the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, in his private or personal capacity. I also do not care about which part of the country he comes from. The important thing is for our votes to count. This is why we need an INEC which no single Party can blatantly control. As I have said a number of times, I do not carry a Party Card simply because there is no difference between Party ‘A’, Party ‘B’ and Party ‘X’.
          Now, if my write-ups tend to beam the searchlight on “the largest Party in Africa,” the reasons are obvious. Apart from the fact that the PDP’s actions or inactions affect the lives of millions of people, the Party is like the Biblical house built on a hill. Every eye, from far or near, cannot but behold it – and make comments, good or bad. So, PDP’s activities, proclivities, empty propaganda, peccadilloes, fascistic tendencies, arrogance, intolerance, quarrels, and relative poor-performance are in public glare. In a supposedly-democratic milieu, don’t we have the right to make democratic suggestions or comments?
          The PDP has refused to grasp the vital fact that without an ‘Opposition’, there can be no democracy. Basically, the APC is not much better than the PDP but let the voters decide about that. This is the beauty of democracy. As far as I am concerned, any Party in this country that goes all out to secure ex-President Obasanjo’s “blessing” is certainly heading for a tumble. That man is vindictive, visionless and unpatriotic. The APC Chieftains should take note.
          Next month, I will also talk about our Security Forces, etc. You will read all about my ideas on the Police Force. I support neither the Federal nor State Police. A Regional Police is the answer. The Inspector-General of Police, under my ‘Reform’, would be appointed (and sacked) by Mr. President, the Six Regional Governors, the President of the Unicameral NASS and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, all having equal votes. These must be in place before the 2015 polls. Can you now see why INEC’s premature Time-Table is most unpatriotic?
          Please ensure that at least 30 Nigerians, at home and abroad, receive this mail. That would be your contribution towards making Nigeria “united, great and secure.” When bastards, fraudsters, swindlers, ritualists, Certificate forgers, robbers, and others of their ilk manage to grab elective positions because of counterfeit Electoral Bodies over the years, what else would you expect? Would you even dare to blame God? Of course not! Acknowledge receipt, via sms.
          Thank you.
