Customer’s negligence: First Bank to pay doctor N7m

Few days after armed robbers killed four, including a corps member at one of its branches in Ekiti State, the Owerri Division of the Appeal Court has upheld the judgment of an Imo State High Court awarding a sum of N7m in damages against First Bank Plc in favour of a medical practitioner, Dr. Arinze Anyagham.
The medical practitioner had in 2010 sued First Bank before the lower court for “actionable negligence”.

Shame: How four First Bank staff stole customers N5.1m with ATM…EFCC nabs suspects

There is palpable fear, panic and pandemonium among customers of First Bank currently due to incessant cases of fraud perpetrated mostly by staff working with the leading financial institution headed by Bisi Onasanya. 
Recently, the Economic and Financial Crimes commission (EFCC) arrested four bankers working with the bank for an alleged Automated Teller Machine (ATM) fraud.
The head media, publicity EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren in a statement obtained by SHOWBIZPLUSng said that the suspects- Mansur Danlami, Ejiro Eborikpo, Nina Stephen and Samson Nwodo were arrested by the operatives of the commission for the conspiracy to steal N5.1 m from a customer’s account.

Murder at First Bank: Court remands killer cop

 For killing a security guard, Olarenwaju Majekodunmi working with him at a branch of First Bank, a Lagos State Magistrate’s court has ordered that a policeman, Salisu Ibrahim, should be remanded in custody, this SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report.
The Magistrate, O.A. Komolafe, said the cop should be kept in custody pending when his matter would be taken to the High Court.
The police arraigned Ibrahim recently on one count of manslaughter.
