There were four new matches confirmed for SummerSlam on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw on August 8.
Roman Reigns showed up with a slightly new attitude as he and Rusev’s feud had another layer added.
Here’s a look at the updated card:
- Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar
- (c) Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler for WWE World Heavyweight Championship
- Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins for WWE Universal Championship
- (c) The Miz vs. Apollo Crews for Intercontinental Championship
- (c) Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for WWE Women’s Championship
- (c) The New Day vs. Gallows and Anderson for WWE Tag-Team TISI +% Championships
- (c) Rusev vs. Roman Reigns for U.S. Championship
- Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass
- John Cena vs. A.J. Styles
Rusev and Lana were out to renew their wedding vows, but Reigns crashed the party and this happened:

He challenged Rusev to a match for the U.S. title at SummerSlam, but the Bulgarian Brute initially refused. Later in the show, Raw general manager Mick Foley would make the matchup a reality.
The New Day vs. Gallows and Anderson was also locked into the SummerSlam schedule. Gallows took on Kofi Kingston in singles action and won easily.
He and Anderson tried to give Kingston a bit of ringpostitis as they did to Big E last week, but Xavier Woods came to the rescue:

This battle for the tag-team titles should be entertaining.
Another tag-team match was made as Enzo Amore and Big Cass will lock horns with Chris Jericho and his new partner, Kevin Owens.
Las but not least, Sasha Banks and Charlotte’s SummerSlam battle got a new stipulation. Dana Brooke will now be banned from ringside after she lost a singles match with Banks on Monday.
As it stands, there are now five Raw matches scheduled, three SmackDown matchups and the cross-brand battle between Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar.
Look for SmackDown to add at least two matches on Tuesday to give each show equal billing at the pay-per-view.
