Bow Wow was at the top of the world a decade ago but his failure to re-brand cost him a lot in his career.
On August 7, 2016 rapper Bow Wow announced that he was done with rap and will be retiring after the release of his last album.
“Retirement
only means that it is time for a new adventure" over 10 million sold.
This the last one. THANK YOU for the musical journey!...Im NOT coming
back wearing the 4-5. ITS OVER” announced Bow Wow on his Instagram page.

As you can guess Bow Wow's retirement became a
trending topic but for all the wrong reasons. The former child star was
dragged mercilessly on Twitter. Obviously Bow Wow isn't the same baby
boy rapper when he made his debut at the age of of 13. Now 29 years old
Bow Wow, has not only faded as a rapper but as a celebrity also.

As an actor,
entertainer and TV host Bow Wow is no longer that premium brand. The
reason for Bow Wow's descent has to do with his inability to transition
into an adult star. He could not make that transition and has been stuck
in Lil Bow Wow mode ever since.
Yes I know there
are tons of kid stars who could not become successful when they became
adults but we also have tons of kid stars who turned out to be super
successful adults. Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears are examples of famous celebrities who were once child stars.

Bow Wow's flaw was that he could not transition into
an adult celebrity. He held on to the child image for a bit too long and
by the time he made his move no one was interested anymore. Right now
he has no fan base, no one isn't exactly rushing to see him on TV.
His post-child career has been filled with bad choices also, from his baby mama drama,
his views on politics and race, baby mama drama, amongst other numerous
blunders. These mistakes haven't helped Bow Wow's fame rise beyond the
days when he was a cute rapper.
Bow Wow's
mistake- failing to properly rebrand himself- is a blunder that most
celebrities will make. After hitting the peak of their careers many
famous people in the entertainment industry fail to come out with a new
approach to their brand. When this happens it is a downward slope.

Unlike Bow Wow,
Justin Bieber was able to transition from a child star to an adult after
his debut album by basically rebelling. Bow Wow's crime is that he
failed to rebel against his child friendly image.
With
Bow Wow retiring from music don't expect other aspects of his
celebrity-hood to pick up anytime soon. His acting career and TV hosting
job will be next on the line and this is because he failed to rebrand
