Adele’s ‘Super Gran’ Bounces Back After Near-Fatal Heart Attack

RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained photos of Adele's beloved grandmotherRose Evans looking glamorous not long after suffering a near fatal heart attack.

Evans was spotted tirelessly running errands in Penarth, Wales, where her superstar 28-year-old granddaughter spent her summer holidays growing up. The 73-year-old is now a picture of health showing no signs of letting the heart scare slow her down

In February 2012, Evans collapsed in a local supermarket and was rushed to the hospital. She later required an operation in which surgeons widened her arteries with two stents. Adele was at her grandmother's bedside as she recovered.

Adele is then said to have canceled all other commitments and held a bedside vigil while Evans was in the hospital,refusing to leave until doctors gave her assurances she would make a full recovery.

Looking uncannily like her famous granddaughter, Evans appeared fresh-faced and far younger than her age as she smiled warmly while skipping through the local high street to meet friends for a weekly catch-up over coffee. "Rose really is an amazing woman," a friend told Radar. "Most people might slow down after having a heart scare but if anything it's given her a new lease of life, nothing will stop her or slow her down."



"If she's not meeting friends for high tea in the afternoons, she'll be gardening or doing something active. She loves spending time in the sunshine trimming her flowers in the front of her house," continued the pal. "Even the rain won't put her off. She's known as 'Super Gran' for how active she is. She's a local celebrity here and is friends with everyone. There's nobody quite like her, it's obvious where Adele gets her amazing personality from."

Evans, whose son is Adele's father, MarkEvans, helped raise the songstress and they've remained incredibly close despite Mark and Adele being estranged for five years. In fact, Rose is said to have helped repair their relationship after Mark gave a tell-all interview in 2011. Adele had an explosive public fight with her father when he suggested that Adele's man troubles could be a result of him leaving her mother Penny when she was young.--radar
