The much anticipated movie, ‘Reality’ under the stable of Viewtrend Entertainment Limited is set to premier in Lagos after the huge success it recorded during the screening.
The superlative event holding at the popular Osun Hall, Lagos Airport hotel on the 5th of June, will also witness an award ceremony tagged Nollywood Girl Child Defender Award, for those who have contributed in defending the girl child in our society’
According the producer of the movie, Mr. Dozie Eboh, the movie Reality is about the ills of child labour and human trafficking in our society which is geared towards to educating the generality of Nigerians on the need to desist from engaging in the barbaric act which has a huge negative effect on our society.
Speaking to Daylight.ng, he said “Looking at our street today, you will find a lot of our kids being engaged in child labour and other forms of acts that are not good for our society. What is more painful is that many of them are not staying with their parents. Some of them were brought to Lagos in the name of sending them to school but only to renege on their promises by sending them to hawk in the street for them. This is not a good development for our society. That is why we decided to produce this movie ‘Reality’ as our own little way of enlightening the society on the ills of child labour and human trafficking and why they must distance themselves from it.”
Sequel to that Dozie said his production outfit has also decided to reward several eminent personalities who have contributed greatly in fighting against child labour and human trafficking in the society under the auspice of Nollywood Girld Child Defender Award.
According to Dozie, who has been a pioneer movie maker in Nollywood, several great personalities who have done well in their various field of endeavours have been lined up for the awards.
Hear him: “Some of the awardees are Stephanie Okereke for her popular movie ‘Dry’ which showcases child abuse, screen goddess, Liz Benson, Iya loja of Lagos Oba Elegushi, Chief Tobena Anumaka Alozie Uzoukwu of Silverbird Television, Onche Odeh of Daily Independent, among others
