Movie lovers in Nigeria are already set for a cinematic experience as Silverbird Distributions Limited will on Friday, August 23, release Red Hot in cinemas across Nigeria. The cinematic suspense thriller which was directed by celebrated Nollywood veteran, Teco Benson MFR and produced by Pleasant Pictures was written by Mrs. Sinmisola Ogunyinka, a celebrated author based in Abuja.

ONE Africa, Big Brother team up to Fight poverty

The ONE Campaign and AfricaMagic, recently announced the launch of their collaboration on Big Brother Africa: The Chase, Charity Week to commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of the African Union (AU).The CharityWeek, which will run from August 5 to 9, focuses on highlighting important relevant social causes on the continent. Now in its eight season, the Big Brother Africa television reality show is working with ONE for the second year running to engage the show’s audience to help end extreme poverty in Africa. 

COSON ready for Nigeria’s first digital music licensing summit

 
Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), the nation’s sole Federal Government approved collective management organisation for musical works and sound recordings in collaboration with the Nigerian Music Industry Coalition has concluded arrangements to host Nigeria’s first Digital Music Licensing Summit. The summit holds on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Protea Hotel, GRA, Ikeja by 10.00am.

 The objective of the summit is “Working Together to Maximize Legal Digital Music Exploitation Gains in Nigeria”.

Entertainment loving Nigerians will be treated to a fun-filled evening of comedy, music and more at the maiden edition of Bowler Hats Bash (BHB).

This first of its kind event holds today, Saturday, August 3, at the upscale Niteshift Coliseum, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos amid glitz and razzmatazz.

Leading entertainers expected to thrill at the grand gathering, which is already the talk of the town and serenading revelers include: Limpopo exponent, KCEE, Solidstar, Okey Bakassi, Gbenga Adeyinka, Basorge Tariah, AY, African China, Mr. Raw Nwanne, Segun Arinze, Bovi, Elenu and AB Cowboy.

The trio of D-Don, D’Lectura and Charles Inojie will sensationally anchor the special evening groove.

After a long wait by viewers, the channel division of NBC Universal International Television recently announced the launch of Telemundo, the popular telenovela channel, in Africa.
