Lagos agog for last audition of Glo X Factor

This is cheering news for Lagosians. The last audition to select aspiring singers who will compete for Globacom’s N24 million prize money for X Factor will be held in Lagos this weekend.

According to a statement released in Lagos by Globacom, the Lagos audition will be held on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, at Dream Studio, No.1 Bamako Street, Omole Estate, Ojodu. It will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

Big Brother Africa kicks off this Sunday…African stars to rock at opening

This Sunday, 26 May, the Big Brother Africa launch show will come alive when multiple award winning musicians from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa take centre stage. The big night will also see 28 new housemates being revealed to audiences in over 50 African countries for season eight of the international contest dubbed-The Chase.

MTN Project Fame Season 6 set for auditions

Africa’s most productive musical reality TV show, MTN Project Fame, will set West Africa ablaze with the best gathering of the sub-region’s talents, beginning from May 25, 2013, when it begins auditions. Beginning in Monrovia, before moving on to Accra, Freetown and then Nigeria, in Benin, Calabar, Ibadan, Ilorin, Port Harcourt, the audition train ends in Lagos, in June.

Presidential Spokesman, Reuben Abati loses mum

The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, has lost his dear muother, Madam Maria Taiwo Abati.

In a press statement signed by Abati on behalf of the entire family, he said.

“With a heavy heart and gratitude to God Almighty, the Abati family of Kemta-Okebode, Abeokuta announces the passing away of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Madam Maria Taiwo Abati who passed into glory today, aged 81."
